The Load Release Strap is designed to be used in the end-to-end configuration. It is tested in the manner of use and, while the wraps were done the same for each sample, they appear to have introduced a variability to the results such that the 3 sigma approach to calculating a statistical minimum breaking strength may not be appropriate. The test results of five samples ranged from a minimum of 6,200 lbf. (27.6kN) to a maximum of 10,900 lbf. (48.7kN).
