Nylon was chosen for the core fiber based on its proven energy-absorbing properties, strength, and durability. Polyester was selected for the sheath due to its exceptional resistance to chemicals and abrasion. Though these materials are commonly used in rope construction, their configuration in Vector Lifeline is unique.
Rescue operations are characterized by uncertainty.
