A manually operated controlled descent device that utilizes a cam assembly that provides friction on the rope to hold a load, or allow the load to descend. To begin descent, the user depresses the control lever. If the control lever is fully depressed in a panic situation, the descent will stop. Normally connected directly to the users seat harness, the Anthron may be attached to a rigging point and used as a lowering device. Can be placed on the rope at any point. Proper rigging diagrams on the sideplate of the descender. WLL: 300 lbs. For 7/16" ropes. Dimensions: 9 x 3". Weight: 8 oz.
