Pre-Cut 8mm BlueWater Tandem Prusik Cord Package

Dynamic Prusik cord was introduced by Bluewater to provide an added load absorbing element as part of a complete system. These cords have a firm, yet supple 'hand' and will hold higher loads before slippage than traditional accessory cords.

We offer pre-cut prusik cord to recommended standardized lengths as referred to in current technical rescue publications such as the Technical Rescue Riggers Guide (by Rick Lipke). A must-have for all high angle or confined space rescue kits. Ideal for tandem prusik belays, progress capture, rope grabs, ascending, soft links, etc. The cords will make 16" and 22" prusiks after being tied with a Double Fisherman's knot with 2" to 3" tails (cords do not come with pre-tied knot). Two colors for differentiation. 8mm cord appropriate for 7/16" or 1/2" rope.

Always be aware of the fact that prusiks perform differently on different rope diameters and sheaths. Performance is also dependant on the age and condition of the ropes and cord as well as the experience of the person tending them. Proper training and experience is mandatory - practice with your system before working with live loads.
