No knots to tie (or worry about accidental untying). In a dynamic event the bound loop feature keeps the loop on the strong spine of the carabiner, away from accidentally riding up over the plate of the pulley. Same strength as a typical prusik with a double fisherman's knot. Short and long prusiks will be different colors
