The SMC Dualguard is the newest version of the very popular Lite Alloy Steel Locking Carabiner. In response to customer demand SMC has taken their best-selling carabiner and created a a two-stage auto-lock version. These carabiners represent the natural evolution into the smoothest, easiest, most comfortable and secure auto-locking carabiner on the market.

The Dualguard is a two-stage auto-lock that is also easy to operate with one hand. All you do is Twist and then Open. Release the gate and the Dualguard automatically closes and locks.

All SMC NFPA products are third party tested (by Underwriters Laboratories - UL) as required by NFPA 1983 (2006 edition) standards. All SMC NFPA carabiners have the required certification information stamped on the frame and the user information is enclosed with each item as required by NFPA.
