SMC-Lite Stainless Steel Locking Carabiner
The SMC-Lite Stainless Steel Locking Carabiner is identical to SMC's NFPA Lite Alloy Steel carabiner except for its stainless steel construction. Like its' sibling, this version is perfect for situations where high strength and durability are desired, size and weight are a consideration AND the environment calls for the additional durability and resistance to corrosion that comes with stainless steel.Approximately half the weight of SMC Large Steel Carabiners and only three ounces heavier than the SMC Aluminum Locking D. The offset ''D'' shape provides ample volume to clip in large diameter ropes and the generous shape provides smooth transfer of the Munter Hitch when used for belaying.
